Silk Presses Slayage Alert: Tia and Tamera Throwback Photos Will Make You Crave ’90s Glam

OMG, I’m absolutely losing it over Tia and Tamera Mowry’s stunning silk presses in these epic throwback photos! Prepare to have major ’90s nostalgia overload, because Tia just blessed us with a trip down memory lane on her Instagram feed. And let me tell you, those silk presses are giving me life!

On June 10 Tia shared a whopping seven throwback pics from the late ’90s and early 2000s. Talk about a blast from the past! Her caption was everything, as she reminisced about their iconic ’90s red carpet looks and how fashion trends always come back around. Tia captioned the Instagram post, “Take two on a trip down memory lane of me and @tameramowrytwo iconic 90’s red carpet looks… Fashion is so cyclical, like the leather trench coats, the long skirts, the capris! I feel like I see outfits that are similar all the time on ig nowadays… But I gotta know, which outfits are your favorite 👀.”

Seriously, those leather trench coats, long skirts, and capris are making a comeback as we speak. Can you even handle the fashion throwbacks, babes?

But let’s get down to the real talk here: those silk presses were on another level of slayage. The first photo took us back to the 1998 Hurlyburly film premiere in LA, where the Mowry sisters showed up rocking knee-high black boots, fierce leather jackets (Tamera’s was a fiery red, while Tia’s was sleek black), and flawless makeup. But let’s not forget about their hair. It was pure silk press perfection! Every strand was perfectly in place, defying all humidity odds. Seriously, I need the tea on who the hair magician was behind those flawless locks.

And the throwback extravaganza didn’t stop there. Tia also shared a photo of the twins backstage at the Fall/Winter 1999 Girls Rule! Fashion Show. Can we just take a moment to appreciate their luscious, straight hair? It was as silky as can be, and I’m here for it. Tia rocked a white winter hat, adding an extra touch of glam to her fabulous locks, while Tamera let her hair flow naturally, radiating that effortless beauty we all envy.

But hold on tight, because the grand finale of Tia’s slideshow took us straight to the 5th annual Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards. These two divas owned the red carpet in cropped tops and flared maxi skirts in different hues. Tamera opted for a white top paired with a stunning bronze skirt, while Tia went for an all-black ensemble that oozed sophistication. And you guessed it, their hair stole the spotlight once again. Impeccable and glossy, their silk presses had an enviable sheen that left us all swooning. Tamera rocked a classic middle part, while Tia sported a fabulous front section slicked back and pinned in a reminiscent nod to the iconic 2000s pouf. Absolute hair goals, people!

Now, Tia wants us to spill the tea on our favorite outfit among these seven sensational looks. But honestly, it’s an impossible task! How can we possibly choose when their fashion game was so strong? Yet, if I had to make a pick, I’d go for their stunning appearance at the Fall/Winter 1999 Girls Rule! Fashion Show or the 5th Annual Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards. But let’s be real, their glossy silk presses will forever be the true stars of the show. Can we bring this trend back ASAP, please?
