OMG, you won’t believe what happened at the 2023 Met Gala last night! Olivia Wilde and Margaret Zhang had a total twinning moment, and I am LIVING for it! 🤩
So, both Olivia and Margaret showed up wearing the same style of Met Gala dress, inspired by an iconic 1983 Karl Lagerfeld design for Chloé. The best part? They were both loving it and having a blast! Olivia posted a side-by-side pic of them and the original design on her IG Story, and Margaret – the fabulous Vogue China editor – was all for it, reposting and commenting, “CUE THE STRINGS.” Talk about fashion BFFs! 💃🏻
Now, you know I’ve got the deets on the dresses, right? Olivia’s ‘fit was designed by Chloé’s current designer, Gabriela Hearst, who took the original cocktail dress and turned it into a dazzling Met Gala gown. Both ladies looked like chef’s kiss PERFECTION. Olivia rocked a white-and-gold version with coordinated cuffs, subtle makeup, and a simple blowout. Margaret, on the other hand, went edgier with a black gown, gold embroidery, a longer skirt, and a fierce cape. Her glam? Cobalt blue hair and Lagerfeld-esque black sunglasses. 😎
Get this: According to the Evening Standard, this is the FIRST time multiple people have worn the same dress to the Met Gala! Who knew?! Now, we’re all wondering if Anna Wintour knew these two fashionistas were planning on sporting similar looks. As we’ve heard before, the Vogue queen has the final say on every guest’s outfit. But, I guess we’ll never know for sure. 👀
Stay tuned for more juicy gossip, darlings! 💋
